The Space

Classic and contemporary. Open and intimate. Steel and wood. We like to think our cocktail room is a beautiful balance of contrasts — a lot like our cocktails and us.

The History

Built in 1902, the Thorp Building was originally home to Thorp Doors, which made heavy-duty sliding metal-clad fire doors. During World War II, General Mills Mechanical Division occupied the building to secretly manufacture highly classified military equipment — namely the Norden Bomb Sight and the Ryan Listening Device, the predecessor to the Black Box. The Norden Bomb Site project was under of a veil of secrecy well into the war and was part of a then-unprecedented production effort on the same scale as the Manhattan Project. Protected by the FBI and CIA, two guard towers remain on the property from the secret operations. Now you can ponder the long storied history of the building over a Tattersall cocktail.

Party Bus Policy:

Tattersall does not accept groups with more than 15 people, unless it has been arranged with the management prior to arrival. Contact us to arrange your group arrival.

We cannot accommodate groups of 15 people or more on Fridays and Saturdays after 7 p.m.

Limos and Party Buses must notify Tattersall at least one day prior to arrival.

Craft cocktails take time. Please respect Tattersall staff and other patrons—find a space in the cocktail room away from the bar, be patient, and your group will be served promptly.

Tattersall reserves the right to deny entrance to groups if any patrons appear to be intoxicated upon arrival.
